We've also been to the pool, painted the stair rails to the basement, painted the outside stairs, did a yard sale (though not much success to report there), and we saw the new Batman movie. Knitting a black sock in a dark theater isn't such a great idea.

I'm sorry, you're making what?

Blueberry
Yesterday we made blueberry pancakes. The blueberries exploded and were all juicy are runny. Mmmm so good.
Then today due to my inability to follow directions (see it's not just a knitting problem) I made two blueberry cobblers.
I still have enough for snacking and to make some blueberry sorbet. We might just turn into a bunch of blueberries and have to be rolled away by some Oompa Loompas.
I also froze enough to make a pie in the fall or winter. It will be so fun to make a blueberry pie in the winter without having to sell the first born.

How does the garden grow?

And then...
This month begins my husband's weeks of little to no work. He's taking half weeks for the next two weeks then it's four weeks off. Well off from his full-time job, there is still the part-time job, but even that is less than normal this month and next. This past weekend was all three days no work. Either job. We made it; no one died, there wasn't even arguing. I've been a SAHM for over three years now. The bug and I have our routine, if you can call it that. Also Mr. Gnome usually works at least 65 hr. weeks. You can see how this will be interesting to say the least. There are plans in place for the next month and a half. Pool, travel, home improvement junk. I'm not sure how much I'll knit. It will either be a lot or nearly none. Blogging follows that same question.
Hopefully I'll be back soon. If not you know where I am.

Tree Antlers Scarf
The modeling shot. Mr. Gnome's shirt mutes the scarf. But, then, he usually dresses that way so I'll have to get used to it.
Super close up. Really only shows the inner cables; the Antlers if you will.
I was so done with this thing by the time I hit the second ball of yarn. It used most of two balls of Cascade 220. This is why I have the yarn for a scarf for myself sitting in the stash. This means it will be sitting a bit longer. After the last post about how boring a rectangle can be I realized the curtain is also just a rectangle. Gosh things have been dull around here. The curtain is done by the way. Now I must search for a tension rod that is dark bronze in color. This is proofing harder than it sounds.

Where have I been?
Meanwhile the second pig said, "Pshaw, a house of straw; you crazy! I'm building mine out of sticks."
And so it was.
Now Susan B. Anderson is very creative and can make anything cute. But she has this almost obsessive love for i-cords. Now I have nothing against i-cords. It's just that was a lot, and i-cords with worsted weight cotton on size 3 needles are not the most fun in the world. And don't even get me started on all the ends. ugh.....
