Yarn Along

It's been a while since I've Yarn Alonged.  I'm now on the 13th Wheel of Time book; Towers of Midnight.  One more to go!  It's getting exciting.  The book before this one is when Brian Sanders took over the writing and I've noticed the difference.  He has a bit more humor and doesn't go as deeply into the details.  I'm sure there are mixed opinions on that.  I myself have mixed feelings about it.  Jordan's writing was so rich but sometimes it weighed down the story.  Sanders has changed some character or emphasized characteristics about them to better fit his writing.  And while I like it, it also feels strange.  
The knitting there is the second Artemis Sock for Mr. Gnome.  The first Cookie A Sock Club shipment of the year should be getting here on Monday.  I'm not sure I'll have this sock done by then.
