Ten Feet

I signed up to be a part of the Yarn Bombing of the Strange Folk Festival this year. When I signed up I didn't pay any attention to how big of a tree I had selected. Apparently it is ten feet around. That up there is ten feet long. Ten feet! I'm only just over five feet tall, so you see that's big.
The tree is called the Disco tree so I was going for a black and white sort of disco floor. I'm also making a few disco balls to hang from the piece. It's curling like no one's business and I need to decide how I feel about that or what to do. With all of those angles and it's size I'm wary about picking up. It needs to stretch a bit so maybe that will help a bit and this also means I don't want to really do a crocheted edge or an i-cord border. oh the decisions! Who'd have thought yarn bombing could be so involved. It's going to be cool though. There are bunch of trees that are being bombed by a goodly bunch of knitters and crocheters. I think there are four other people bombing the disco tree. Oh I can't wait to see it all!
