Learning Curve

Yesterday I made a pair of fingerless gloves for a friend.  I was using the second half of Berry Cobbler I used to make my pair of gloves.  As I got to the second glove I realized that this was actually the first bit of the yarn I'd plied.  Back when I was learning how to Navajo Ply and well really making a bit of a mess of it.  At first I thought it was just a bit more lumpy.  I called it texture and kept on.  Then I finished and realized it didn't just have more texture it was thicker.  Quite a bit thicker really.
These gloves were knit on the same needles with the same stitches.  But one is a tad bigger than the other.  All because it took me a while to get the hang of Navajo Plying.  I hope my friend still likes them and doesn't think I'm too much of  a freak.  Or at least no more than she did before.  I mean you could have a colder hand that needs a thicker glove sometimes.....  Right?
